This traditional brown de-icing rock salt is a raw, indigenous product mined in the UK and Ireland. It conforms to the British standard BS3247:2011 for de-icing salts. The salt typically contains 5-8% naturally occurring insoluble grit particles that provide extra traction on icy surfaces to prevent slips and falls. It has been treated with an anti-caking agent to prevent clumping so it flows freely when used in spreaders or applied by hand. The messy brown residue left behind helps visually indicate where salt has been spread. This pallet contains 40 x 25kg bags.
