Product Description
Loctite 574 Gasket Paste 250ml is an anaerobic gasket maker designed for sealing rigid metal flanges and components. It is ideal for use on rigid metal parts like cast iron pump housings and components.
- Fills gaps up to 0.5mm
- Withstands temperatures from -55°C to +150°C
- Provides excellent oil and glycol resistance for automotive and industrial applications
- Cures when confined in parts for a permanent, high-strength bond
- Allows disassembly with standard tools if needed
Typical applications include sealing water pumps, thermostat housings, transmission pans, and other metal components in vehicles, industrial machinery, and heavy equipment. As an anaerobic product, it cures when tightened between rigid metal surfaces without the need for clamping. The 250ml tube provides enough product for medium to large flange sealing jobs.

We are delighted with the Loctite 574, since using it on the seatings for the antique cast iron radiators we have had zero failure rate which has made our process much more efficient.

This is such an excellent product, we are so pleased to have discovered it. We have been taking old cast iron radiators apart and rebuilding them for years and this is by far the most superior gasket paste on the market.
