READ A MOTOR PLATE

"HOW CAN I REPLACE MY MOTOR WITH THE SAME SPECIFICATION IF I DONT KNOW WHAT I HAVE?"

Reading a motor plate can be extremely confusing if you aren't sure what to look for. The main information needed for us to match this up for you, would be found in the part number itself. If you don't have the means to photograph your plate to send to us, here is a helpful How2 guide to talk you through what we would need from you.

As you can see from the photo above, the part number will mostly give us the information you need, unless your motor is non standard, or made by a different company to TEC motors. Broken down into different colours, we have defined what your part number means in regards to identifying your motor. See another photo below showing the information above as needed information.

The above plate, is longer in length and has duplicate information on underneath the plate. Different voltages, Hz and KW are shown, this is due to the voltage changing due to the popularity of inverters. If you are unsure about this on your motor, sending us a specification of your application, along with your motor plate and how you want your motor to run and we can help find the correct motor for you.

The photo above, shows the different variety of combinations which you may find on your motor plate part number. This should help you if your motor plate looks different from the top two photos and make it clearer on what to look out for. See photo below to see the range of mounting we can offer.
