Celebrating 20 Years: Our Anniversary Ball

We recently hosted a spectacular 20th Anniversary black-tie event to celebrate this milestone with our loyal and exceptional employees, as well as our dedicated suppliers. The celebration started with a welcome reception with pre-dinner drinks, giving guests a chance to mingle, followed by gourmet dining and live entertainment. The atmosphere was perfectly captured by a phenomenal live jazz band, keeping the energy lively well into the night.
This was our way of showing our gratitude to our employees and suppliers, who without them, Bearingboys would not continue to thrive. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to those who believed in us from day one and gave Bearingboys its very first opportunities.

We Couldn't Do It Without Our Employees
While Sam and Will provided the initial spark, both directors are quick to emphasise that the driving force behind the company’s growth is its workforce. Expanding from just the two of them to more than 40 professionals means that Bearingboys has transformed into a diverse family of technical experts, account managers, and support staff.
"Our growth from a living room/office to where we are now isn't just a business milestone to us." says Will Huetson. "Every package shipped, every enquiry resolved, and every relationship built is down to the our great employees. We really couldn't do it without them."
By empowering their staff and maintaining a close, supportive workplace culture, the brothers have built a company where engineering expertise continues to grow. It is this collaborative knowledge that allows Bearingboys to serve businesses, workshops, and hobby makers alike with the same efficiency and care.

Two Decades of Excellence: From a Team of Two to an Engineering Supplier Powerhouse

In 2006, Will and Sam Huetson rented their very first unit in Bethersden, Ashford in Kent. This marked a big change from working in Will's one-bedroom flat and was the first step in cementing their name in the bearing industry.

Through 2007, they hired family members who were willing to take the risk on their new business: their brothers, Peter and Andrew, and their mother, Jane. In time they hired more staff, this time outside of the family, and so it began.

The initial website could be kindly described as rustic, since 20 years ago the internet was a very different place. But it was one of the first to bring the bearing and power transmission industry online. Before this point these products were mostly offered from a regional branch, often making replacement parts inaccessible for many.

Fast forward 20 years, and Bearingboys Ltd has evolved into a powerhouse engineering supplier. Today, the company proudly operates three strategic branches across the UK - located in Norfolk, the Midlands, and Scotland - and employs a dedicated workforce of over 40 staff.

Shared Experiences and Lasting Connections

Together, we’ve shared an incredible amount of memories together, from celebrating Christmas parties, weddings, and retirements to 'Bearingirls' nights out, summer barbecues, golf days, and the Queen’s Jubilee. Not only has it been rewarding to support each other's growth personally and professionally, but it's been a joy to watch all our families, both kids and dogs included, grow older. We began this journey as a family, and that is exactly how we mean to go on.

On a professional basis, we have attended a wide range of international and domestic trade exhibitions, including BearingNet User Meetings such as the B2B conferences in Dublin, Warsaw, Vienna, Berlin, and most recently in Brazil, as well as prominent specialised domestic expos like the Hillhead Exhibition. The Hillhead Exhibition is the UK's largest working quarrying, construction, and recycling showcase set in a real limestone quarry. Taking our teammates along to represent Bearingboys is the best way to showcase our expertise and talent, whilst also strengthening industry relations.

Proudly Supporting the East Anglian Air Ambulance

We fundraise to support the incredible work of East Anglian Air Ambulance, who provide an essential service bringing specialist doctors, paramedics, and advanced hospital equipment straight to the scene. They treat an average of 5 people a day, every day, yet receive no government or NHS funding and are classified as a charity. They rely on donations, and no matter the size, this contributes to life-saving differences. Click on this link to donate: Donation - East Anglian Air Ambulance
