We have a large amount of engineering plastic rods and sheets available. Types of materials range from Nylon 6, Nylon 66, Oilon, Acetal, PTFE, PEEK and UHMWPE, HPDE, PVC, Polypropylene and Tufnol.
The term "engineering plastic" refers to a group of plastics that provides advantages to both the industry and individuals in some form of engineering application. These engineering plastics greatly vary in properties and so can be suitable for many applications. Plastics differ in weight, machining costs, impact resistance, wear resistance etc. The manufacturers produce these plastics in a large range of thicknesses from 1mm to 100mm and rods from 4mm to 600mm diameter. This is helpful in order to reduce waste and machining time.
One good thing about engineering plastics is that the majority of materials are manufactured slightly oversized in order to allow a small allowance for engineers to finish machine to an accurate size and remove any potential surface imperfections
