The GE160UK-2RS is a high-performance spherical plain bearing, also known as GE160XT-2RS. This two-piece plain bearing consists of an inner and outer ring design, with the inner ring featuring a convex outer surface and the outer ring having a concave inner surface. This specialiSed construction enables exceptional load-carrying capacity and the ability to accommodate misalignment.
The bearing features a steel-on-PTFE sliding contact surface, making it maintenance-free. During the initial run-in period, PTFE particles are deposited onto the opposite running surface, effectively filling any microscopic irregularities on the inner ring surface. This creates an optimally smooth operating surface where components mate perfectly.
