Standard Oilite Bearing Bushes
Oil retaining tin bronze is generally the specified material of manufacture. It gives a good balance between strength, wear resistance, conformability and durability in operation. Oilite bearing bushes are Ideal in a wide variety of applications where “self-lubricating” properties are required over a long period of time.
Lubrication
Our standard stock range of oilite bearing bushes is impregnated with mineral oil (SAE 30 viscosity). All machined oilite bearings and plates are supplied fully impregnated after machining. We can also offer a wide range of lubricants and temperature ranges (i.e. extreme high & low temperature bearings) are available to meet specific requirements. Lubricant additives are also available to impart anti-wear properties in marginal lubrication conditions such as stainless steel shaft applications.
